To the IMG Academy Admissions and Golf Coaching Staff: I’m honored to recommend Kate Boaz for the IMG Academy Golf Program in Bradenton, Florida. I’ve coached Kate at Newport Beach Country Club since she was nine. She’s grown from a young golfer to a dedicated, competitive student-athlete with ambitious goals. Kate is highly coachable, actively listens, asks insightful questions, accepts feedback, and is dedicated to working on her game. Currently, Kate attends Corona del Mar High School, Class of 2029, and plays on the Varsity Girls Golf Team. She competes on the Southern California PGA Junior Tour and recently won back-to-back first-place finishes. She’s also a Junior Girls Club Champion at Newport Beach Country Club. As her tournament experience grows, Kate has become more confident, mature, disciplined, and comfortable under pressure. Kate’s experience at IMG Academy this past summer, where she was honored with the IMG Academy Gatorade Award, demonstrates her potential to excel in the full-time program. IMG Academy provides an ideal environment for her development. I’m confident Kate understands that a successful program thrives on respect, responsibility, sportsmanship, teamwork, discipline, and character. She is prepared for an environment where golf becomes an integral part of her daily life, challenging her with exceptional coaches, trainers, and motivated student-athletes. The combination of technical instruction, tournament preparation, strength and conditioning, mental performance training, academics, personal responsibility, and accountability aligns perfectly with her growth needs. I’ve known Kate’s golf game since she was nine, and I believe she still has tremendous potential. At 16, she continues to develop technically, physically, and mentally, with a commitment to competing at the Division I collegiate level. After seven years of coaching, I’ve seen her invest significant work in the game and mature as a golfer and young woman. I strongly recommend Kate Boaz for admission to the IMG Academy Golf Program, believing she has the character, work ethic, competitive drive, coachability, and potential to thrive in IMG’s high-performance environment. I’m proud of the golfer and young woman Kate has become, and I believe IMG Academy can help her reach the next level of her development. Please feel free to contact me directly if I can provide any additional information. Sincerely, Carlo Borunda | Director of Instruction, PGA | Newport Beach Country Club One Clubhouse Drive, Newport Beach, CA 92660 | 949.644.9680 www.newportbeachcc.com
